WOMEN & THE 2020 ELECTION: Influences and Outcomes

API-lecture-nov21.png

The 2020 election cycle has demonstrated the influence of women in politics and elections at all levels of government. The Alice Paul Institute invites you to join us for an informative and engaging conversation between scholars Kelly Ditmar and Jennifer Piscopo to analyze how the 2020 election helped or hindered women and the issues that affect them.

This one-hour virtual program will feature an open discussion format. We will celebrate the gains made by women in politics, including the first major party nomination and election of a woman of color to be the Vice President of the United States, and examine the gendered systems that continue to hold female candidates to different standards than their male peers.
