LGBT Festival Duels With Evangelist's Event in Asbury Park

On Sunday, June 24th, people gathered in Asbury for the Festival of Life, a Christian festival led by Jonathan Shuttlesworth. Shuttlesworth is a controversial figure who has made comments, called hateful by some, regarding homosexuality, Islam, suicide, and other topics. In protest to the Festival of Life, local LGBT leaders held a counter-festival directly across the street. You can find out more about the counter-festival here.
