D.I.R.E. is a proactive community Deportation & Immigration Response team dedicated to ensuring the human rights and well-being of non-citizen individuals and of families with U.S. citizen children living with non-citizen parents.

Joel Wattacherill of the Reformed Church in Highland Park will be coming down to provide training and answer questions.

There are four areas where people can help:

• disseminate Know Your Rights information to the immigrant community

• take phone calls regarding information about ICE raids or ICE sightings

• be present at an ICE raid

• provide support and services to the family if someone is detained and also to the detainee
