The Women in Learning and Leadership (WILL) Academic Program Presents “Better Ballot NJ: The Fight for Fair Elections”
Here’s another opportunity to learn about the biased New Jersey ballot design and the effort to change it. The goal of the webinar is to educate New Jersey voters about the latest “county line” research and encourage more groups to support the Better Ballot resolution which aims to bring better ballots to the state.
Julia Sass Rubin, a Rutgers University professor will present portions of her research that show how NJ’s primary ballot design gives an unfair advantage to party endorsed candidates,. Also speaking, Christine Conforti, a former candidate for NJ’s Fourth Congressional District. The discussion will be moderated by Megan Friedman, Brookdale Honors student, President of Students for Global Citizenship, and Executive Board Member of WILL+.
