Civil disobedience is a time-honored, effective method of bringing collective fierce nonviolent pressure to bear on unjust systems. Through civil disobedience, we build resistant community.
This workshop introduces people to the philosophy and techniques of nonviolence and direct action; how affinity groups and consensus-based decision-making works; arrest and consequences; the role of support (legal and non-legal); and day-of protest tips. 45 minute lunch break and bathroom breaks are built into the training.
