Join us for the presentation Radicalism and Suffrage: Winning the Vote in the First Red Scare given by Dr. Erica Ryan, Professor of History at RiderUniversity

In this inspired presentation, Dr. Erica Ryan examines the last years of the push for women's suffrage in the context of the first Red Scare, which began as World War I ended. Amidst fears of Bolshevism, free love, and political violence, many viewed women's political equality as something even more sinister.

Dr. Ryan will explore the ways in which talking about radicalism meant also talking about women in Red Scare America.
