“On Tuesday April 23 at 9 a.m., Rutgers University is presenting a seminar titled "Preventing Gun Violence in NJ: A Call to Action” at the Douglass Student Center in New Brunswick.
The event will introduce the new Center on Gun Violence Research, and allow for a broad audience to engage in a conversation about the future of gun violence prevention in New Jersey and throughout the country.
It will begin with a keynote from Gov. Phil Murphy, followed by a talk from Dr. Stephanie Bonne, who will present the state of affairs of gun violence in New Jersey.
The conference will also include sessions led by center leadership presenting an overview of center goals and collaborative opportunities, highlights of ongoing gun violence research from center affiliates, and a moderated discussion regarding next steps for gun violence research.
