"Let's Drive NJ" Petition Delivery to Speaker Coughlin

  • Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin's Office 569 Rahway Avenue Woodbridge, NJ, 07095 United States (map)

Thousands of residents still don't have access to a driver's license in NJ. Having one makes it possible for families and individuals to drive safely to work, school and appointments as well as get children to and from school.

Thursday, February 28th at noon, a stack of petitions with thousands of signatures will be delivered to Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin's office! We’d like at least 100 people there with us.

WHAT: Advocates will deliver over 15,000 petition signatures and hold a rally outside of Speaker Coughlin’s in-district office to urge him to post bill A4743 to expand access to drivers licenses to more resident in New Jersey. Speakers will address the urgent need for access to drivers licenses for New Jersey residents including voters, residents with mixed-status families, TPS holders, and DACA recipients whose status could end at any time. In New Jersey over 500,000 residents are expected to benefit from the expansion of access to a standard state ID and driver’s license option.
