The Problem with Plastics

Do you, your friends, or neighbors struggle to understand what can and cannot be recycled? Do you want to do more to reduce plastic pollution? If so, join the Monmouth County Environmental Council for a roundtable event titled, “The Problem with Plastics” on Tuesday October 29, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Monmouth County Agricultural Building, 4000 Kozloski Rd, Freehold, NJ 07728.

From 6-7 p.m. browse the “Be Part of the Pollution Solution” tabling session to learn about a variety of local initiatives to reduce plastic pollution and learn how you can bring change to your own community.

At 7 p.m. the speaker session will begin. Hear from Meredith DeMarco from NY/NJ Baykeeper share local research on microplastics, Jaye Sims Assistant District Recycling Coordinator explain the County recycling process, and John Stanton from Atlantic Coast Recycling discuss the market behind recycling.
