DISTRIBUTED IN RED BANK BY KKK - 8/2018
Let's Stop This >>
The Red Bank Human Relations Advisory Committee will host a press conference on Thursday (August 30) at 3:00 PM outside Red Bank Borough Hall to introduce their "No Hate at Home" campaign and condemn hate on behalf of our community and neighboring communities. The violent hate speech that gets only louder cannot be brushed aside, especially now that it is more often accompanied by physical violence.
Please come and show your support for the "No Hate at Home" campaign.
Text of Message from Rabbi Marc Kline
Dear Friends -
As many of you may know, the KKK is active in our area. The group is "spreading its wings" and expanding its efforts. The attached flyer (and others like it) has been distributed through Red Bank. While the immediate affront is a response to the movie "The Black Klansman," the proliferation of hate has reached a crescendo beyond which I am willing to tolerate without a response.
That said, the Red Bank Human Relations Advisory Committee will be formulating a response. I will be, as a member of the Committee, chairing the "No Hate At Home" Campaign. We will host a press conference next Thursday (August 30) at 3:00, outside the Red Bank Borough Offices. At this press conference, the Committee will introduce the campaign and condemn hate on behalf of our community and neighboring communities. We will produce yard signs, decals, and flyers proclaiming the message, "No Hate at Home." The violent hate speech that gets only louder cannot be brushed aside, especially now that it is more often accompanied by physical violence.
As we share in teaching God's message of peace and respect for each other, I am asking for your visible support and for your help in proliferating the mission and message of this campaign throughout our community.
With blessings and thanks!
Rabbi Marc Aaron Kline, J.D.
Judgment may well up as a wall of water, but righteousness is the mightiest of rivers.
