THIS WEEK’S ISSUES: 1) support legislation to protect the Mueller investigation by cosponsoring bipartisan legislation to prevent Special Counsel Mueller from being fired: H.R. 5505 the Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/115/hr5505.

2) vote against the reauthorization of the Farm Bill if it includes any work requirements to access SNAP benefits. SNAP provides critical food assistance to working families during tough times, and helps people to reenter the workforce by providing crucial financial support while they are in between jobs. Restricting access to SNAP will only worsen poverty and hurt local economies.
