March 21: The High Cost of Sexual Harassment--When sexual harassment occurs at work, in educational, military, religious or other institutions or settings, the costs often become high for all directly or indirectly impacted. It becomes a business issue, damaging reputations and stalling career and business opportunities. Covered will be the laws relating to sexual harassment and how companies or institutions can reduce the likelihood of sexual harassment. They can be held responsible when they don’t make reasonable efforts to prevent sexual harassment or don’t effectively deal with it when it occurs. Attention will be paid to available legal remedies and their impact.
