Our guest speaker for this month will be Maya Abdel-Megid. Maya will be talking about the prominent role of women in Islam, showing how the current socio-political image of a repressed woman does not reflect the past and present history of history. Maya will also be discussing how Muslim women became revolutionaries within their own societies, and how much innovation they have contributed to their respective fields in the USA and around the world.
