"Children and youth don’t get to vote, but they do have a voice—and they want and need to use it. This rally and march is an opportunity for young people to choose the issues they care about, and to learn to stand up and speak out—on their own terms and in their own words. Let’s get together and support our youth in a celebration of independent thought, community, inclusivity, and their future.

We'll be gathering at the north end of Cadman Plaza at 11a, Saturday, May 13th. Twelve area social justice organizations will be there sharing information and providing family-friendly activities to raise awareness and get the young people sharing ideas. Student-run soap box stations will alsobe open for young people to come and speak their mind. The line-up of speakers includes cause-committed youth as young as 8 and as old as 17, in addition to two 1963 Children's Crusade participants that will talk about the impact children have had and can continue to have on government. Please check our posts for a complete list of organizations tabling, providing speakers, and other entertainment.
