March With MU

  • Monmouth University 400 Cedar Avenue West Long Branch, NJ, 07764 United States (map)

"Please join Monmouth University students, faculty and members of the community for a march/rally on International Women's Day. We plan to address your purpose in a society that exercises free speech. Why March? We want you to share your side of the story. Diversity is what makes this country so beautiful.

We will gather in front of the University Library around 2 PM with the march starting at 2:30 PM. Following our route around campus, the march will finish up in front of Wilson Hall at 3 PM. Here, we will kick off the Open Mic with Prof. Corey Wrenn as well as host the rally in front of Wilson. We will then leave the floor open for participants to speak until 4 PM. Remember to use the hashtag #marchwithMU on social media!

At 4 PM, you are invited to join us in the screening of the film She's Beautiful When She's Angry in Pozycki 115 Lecture Hall. Light refreshments will be served.

Lastly...are you interested in poster making? Join student groups on Wednesday, March 1rst from 3-4 PM in Bey Hall 130!

Event is co-sponsored by SAGE, Gender Studies Club, Sociology Club, SPECTRUM, Counseling Student Association, Muslim Student Association, The Social Work Society and CommWorks. Poster by Jamilah McMillan and Kaitlin Allsopp.
