"Please join CJST for a cleanup along the Delaware & Raritan Canal and the Millstone River in Griggstown for our first cleanup of 2017! We'll be partnering with Anna Marshall, the Americorps Watershed Ambassador for this area, who organized this cleanup. We'll be working along the canal and in the wide floodplain between the canal and river. Lots of litter and a few tires and other junk sprinkled here and there. 

The event begins at 9:00 AM at the large parking area along the Griggstown Causeway closer to the canal bridge (use 6 Griggstown Causeway, Belle Mead, NJ 08502 as the closest address and look for the CJST truck). Overflow parking can be found at the parking area next to the Millstone River bridge. Come on out and join us for sign up, instructions and safety...and enjoy some breakfast on us.

Please note that registration/RSVP is important so that we know what kind and how many supplies and refreshments to bring and set up. 

Volunteer Instructions:

1.Bring along your family and friends! It's going to be a really fun and great day! The more junk we find the more rewarding the experience! 

2. Wear sturdy footwear and clothing you don't mind getting dirty! And dress for the weather!

We will provide the rest! Garbage bags, work gloves, tools, breakfast, and water for volunteers.

So come on out! We look forward to restoring this small piece of the wathershed with you!
